Initial Education Program
The Initial Education program at “La Fundación Solidaria La Visitación” develops its work in a variety of fields classified in three environments:
- Institutional environment 5 and 8 hours - Children's Centers: We benefit children under 5 years, through a comprehensive service which offers the components of care, nutrition and initial education for 5 days a week; each day of 8 hours.
- ECommunity Environment - Educational Support Units (UPA): Similarly, in this modality we provide comprehensive care for children under 5 years who are currently cared by the welfare homes of the ICBF, complementing the service of care and nutrition with an educational component.
- Family Environment: We provide a comprehensive service in care, nutrition and initial education to children under 5 years old, located in rural or urban areas, that are currently educated by their families, strengthening the educational work at home.
Services Offered
- Learning: Developing skills in the areas:
- Personal-social - Verbal and artistic representation and communication. - Relations with the physical, natural cultural and social environment.
- Nourishing: Promotion of healthy habits and lifestyles that have a positive impact on the nutritional status of children and their families.
- Comunicating: Training and orientation of the communication process (language, speech, hearing, voice and golden facial functions) of children to foster their comprehensive development.
- Living in community: Counseling and support of socio-familiar process of the children and their families.
- Acompanying in family: Accompaniment and orientation as a whole for the children and their families in the process of prevention, health promotion and health habits, through the multidisciplinary care of psychosocial, nutritional, educational phonoaudiology situations.
- Counseling: Accompaniment and orientation to educational agents to improve and / or prevent situations that affect the development of children.

Toy Library Program
This is a set of recreational, social and educational projects, with a pedagogical model dedicated to learning, construction and training of children, adolescents, youth, mothers, fathers and / or guardians. The Toy Libraries are scenarios for the formation of social actors while strengthening psychosocial skills, through play, artistic expression, the promotion of reading, constructive use of leisure time and the interaction itself of those in formation.
Services Offered
- Living Together: It's a training process which promotes the strengthening of psychosocial skills that allow creating resilient attitudes in children aged 6 to 12 years.
- Crearte: An artistic initiation process in music, dance, theater, visual arts, capoeira for children and adolescents. Crafts for adults.
Through art workshops we are looking to strengthen resilient attitudes in the participants.
- Let's Play: It is a process of orientation and support in the game and sharing of toys, sports equipment and literary material in the toy library and home.
- Recognizer each other: It's an education process with groups of adolescents and youth, which promotes the development of psychosocial skills to build resilient attitudes.
- Playing in Family: It is a process of training with groups of parents, sons and daughters who join together in an environment of recreation, formation and family enjoyment, in order to strengthen their psychosocial skills and resilient attitudes.
- Dialogue: It is a process of training, counseling and support for children, adolescents and their primary group, from the promotion, prevention, and individual and group intervention, based on the strengthening of educational agents that accompany their formation process.
- Reading Together: It is a process of training, animation and promotion of reading with children, adolescents, parents and advisors to promote psychosocial skills that promote resilient attitudes.
